Use Firefox but keeps getting IE popup ads?

I mainly use Firefox but sometimes make searches on Internet Explorer. Two days ago I started getting popup ads (spyware, antivirus...) from IE even though am on Firefox. Everytime it popup my computer bugs for a few minutes and I notice the searches made on IE are slower. What can I do? I scanned my computer for virus, spyware, used Ad-aware, ZA firewall and a popup block program. What else can be done?

As the computer is booting press your "F8 Key" repeatly which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" . Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.

use avg anti-spyware to scan ur computer in safe mode.
Try using Spybot Search and Destroy for spyware. I use both Adaware and Spybot. to scan my computer.

When you launch Foxfire Press CTRL J or go to the tools and download the Ad blocker.
