OK i went to the IE explorer home page or whatever so i could install some add ons for IE explore.?

I downloaded like 4 or 5 items. 4 of the items has adware in them! Why in the heck would a microsoft add ons have spyware in them exspecially at the microsoft site?Wouldnt u think they would monitor there own software add ons so they dont have spyware in them u would think so any ways. Dont mind me im just ranting. I was so pissed last night cause all i was looking for was something for ie explorer to save pass words and all i was finding was spyware. i have aol's antivirus well the old one not mcafee. i dont know how to spell the other one. Has any one else have any problems with microsoft software with bugs or anything microsoft. Thanks for your time and listening to me rant lol sorry i just was very angry last night.

Wow, i haven't had a problem like that, but i would be mad just like you if I found out some of the downloads had adware; really they should be ashame of that, but there was something i heard about Microsoft. I heard that Microsoft is trying to spy into people's pcs to see if they have liscenced microsoft softwares. Reason why they are doing this is because you can find microsoft software on p2p ( limewire, bear share, etc.) websites. Some people would download these microsoft products and configure the liscence key; so i don't know if that has something to do with the adware that was installed on your computer, but it's quite coincidental.

How do you know it was a Microsoft site? Did you click a link in a spam message that was disguised to look like it linked to microsoft.com but had an href of scam.cn or some such thing? Did you visit with your security settings allowing ActiveX controls to load without telling you?

As far as having Microsoft software with bugs, there is no other kind. Microsoft is the most careless company when it comes to caring about your computer.
