I've been using Firefox for about a year now and all of a sudden, it won't load webpages. It says it can't connect but IE can. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Mozilla with no luck. I really don't want to use IE. Any ideas would be helpful.

FIREFOX WON'T OPEN SOME WEBSITES : EASY FIX : The latest Mozilla Firefox automatic update ( version 2.0.0.7 , dated 09-14-2007 ) caused this problem with several websites, including Yahoo Mail, Windows Live Mail, Gmail, Facebook, MySpace, etc. It is a cookie problem, but will vary from user to user, depending on which cookies your system has accumulated . A popular fix that is working well so far : open Firefox, click Tools, click Options, click Privacy tab, click Show Cookies, use search bar within the dialog box and type the short name of the non-working site, such as "Yahoo", click the Remove These Cookies button repeatedly till the search results are emptied ... or just click the Remove All Cookies button to remove all cookies at once. Click OK / Close. Restart Firefox. You will have to re-enter any saved passwords and ID's, so know your ID's and passwords before doing this . I preferred to remove all cookies at once. It's easier and you don't have to wonder if other websites will turn up with the same problem. Necessary cookies that were deleted will be replaced with compatible cookies automatically the first time you open a website. Worked great for me .
Mozilla won't work but IE will :-(?windows mobile 6 internet explorer
you internet explorer 7.0 itzz cool
When you removed Mozilla, did you remove the directory in the programs directory? It is possible there is still a file left behind that reinstalling picks up and you end up with the same problem again.
People need to realize that because you remove a program, it doesn't mean the directory is gone and files still exist. Removing a program only deletes the files the program loaded up, not the files that have been modified and changed.
Your firewall is probably blocking firefox, firefox automatically updates itself, when the files are updated some firewalls will block Internet connection because it thinks it is malicious. If you are using windows firewall go to control panel and open firewall, then click exceptions tab, see if firefox is listed, if not add exception for firefox. You may need to restart for changes to take place.
