you can go to tools, internet options and try changing the webpage from there. if it doesnt work, try this- click on the programs tab and then reset websettings.
I can't change my homepage -- it's being redirected to msn.com. Please help.?windows 98 internet explorer
Go to start and look for set programs and access defaults, then when window opens go to customize and change it there
Maybe you're inprocess of installing something and need to download from M$, normally they'll temporaly chang the home page to M$ and change it back after installation but if there is a bug in between, you go bad luck.
Try uninstall/install some of your recent software and change the home page again.
This is the only thing I can suggest:
On your browser go to Tools%26gt;Internet Options
Go to Delete%26gt; Delete Cookies
Once the cookies are deleted,
Go back to Internet Options
Type in the open box the address you want http://www.yahoo.com
Push OK button on the bottom
I only have one question. Who is your internet service provider? I might have an answer for you if I knew which company it is. Some preset certain ones into you so you can't be online without going to them first.
hi ,you go to start menu and click into control panel ,then choose Internet option,in the general tab there is a box for a www. address, put the address you wish for home page ,then click apply and then click ok ,this works for me .
While you are on the Yahoo page, click tools, then internet options, and where it says home page, click use current.
It sounds like you've been Hijacked with a virus. I recommend getting a good anti-spyware program to scan your computer. In example AVG is pretty good. Some other good free anti spyware programs are Ad-Aware SE Personal, Avast Antivirus, Ewido Security Suite, CWS Shredder, Spysubtract. You are going to also probably need to download Hijackthis. Please be careful with Hijackthis, it will generate a log for you of all the program that you are currently using and your homepages, etc..., I suggest you scan and save a log and going to one of the google or yahoo forums and posting up your Hijackthis Log in order so that they can give you direction on what to delete. You can mess up your computer if you delete the wrong things. You can find most of these programs on www.download.com or do a internet search for them. Good luck.
I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no such problems. The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
