Can you have Firefox and IE in the same PC?

I already have IE but I heard Firefox is more secure and versatile. Do I need to uninstall IE and then install Firefox? If both are installed will they create problems with one another's performance. How do I make Fire fox my defalult browser?

You can have both on your system and in fact can have both open at the same time. As to the default browser, Firefox will ask you when you first open it if you wish it to be your default browser....Just say yes and it will be set. Also you will have the option to copy your bookmarks from IE over to Firefox. So you won't have to spend all that time going to all the sites you have saved in IE so you can save them in Firefox.

Of course you can have both. You have to set one as default. Choose the one you like better. Both ask you on startup to set as default if it is not already.
yeah you can. when you first install firefox it will ask if you want it as default. but then when you use IE it will ask the same and youll have to tell it no

but i think you should stick with firefox online.
Yes. You can use as many browsers as you want on your pc. You can download firefox from the url below.
Yes, you can have both, there won't be any problems with having both programs on your PC, you can even run both at the same time. You can choose Firefox as your default when you install it and if you change your mind later you can reset to IE as default in IE's settings.
yes u can have both ,when u will install firefox you will be asked that whether u want to ake it your default browser or not .also u can import ur favorites or website links into firefox.they dont interefere with each other,so no problems .i have been using it .so go ahead..
Yes you can.
Yea, all you need is a default one and you can have both. Its better that way because if you need one or the other for certain things, then you have both. If one crashes like how my firefox crashed, then you can resort to IE or whatever. Two heads are better than one.
there is no conflict between firefox and ie. search in firefox settings: use firefox as default browser.
Of course you can. I am running Vista on one system and XP on the other I have Firefox and Explorer on both...but I use Firefox most because of Ad Blocker Plus Blocks so many ads. Explorer doesn't have that plugin and does not block all the ads that Firefox with Ad Blocker Plus.

When you install FireFox on your PC it will ask you if you wish it to be the default browser...click the yes block and you are ready to go.
